Paternity Testing
We compare the genetic profile of two or more samples to verify or refute a paternal-filial link between them. The result will indicate whether the sample donor, identified as the alleged father, can or cannot be excluded as the biological father of the sample donor identified as a son.
Verification of the paternity of the sample of the alleged father and child is carried out through the analysis of the alleles of 24 genetic markers (23 STR + Amelogenin).
There are two types of tests depending on the intended use of the information obtained:
Informative or anonymous test
The result is only communicated to the person requesting the test. The participants are not identified, therefore it has no legal value or validity, and is completely confidential. Samples can be collected and sent by the person requesting the test.
To carry out the anonymous paternity test (no legal validity or identification of those targeted), a complete sample collection kit is sent to the address you indicate. The samples required to perform the test are blood samples on an FTA card collected by finger prick, or, if blood collection is impossible, cells from the inside of the mouth, collected using a mouth swab.
The duo test (supposed father + 1 child) costs €260 (VAT included) and the trio test (supposed father + 1 child + mother) costs €375 (VAT included). Each additional sample costs €115. Urgent fee (2 to 3 business days): €200
Cool proof
The result can be used as evidence in legal proceedings. It requires the identification of participants and monitoring of the chain of custody of samples throughout the process, to ensure that samples cannot be manipulated. Sample collection must be done in person at our accredited partner's facilities, please contact us for more information.
Results in 10 working days. Urgent fee €200 (2 to 3 working days after receiving the sample at the laboratory).
The use of 24 genetic markers guarantees results with 99.9999% confidence.
The sample from participants can be blood (collected using a lancet) or cells from the mouth cavity (using a swab).
Possibility of self-collection of samples at home (only for informative tests).
